059-The Sports Ground relocated from the site adjacent to the colliery to one near to the Village School. The new grounds included facilities for Football, Cricket, Tennis, Bowls and Athletics. This Picture, Circ. 1940’s also shows the Welfare Club again built by Staveley Coal & Iron Company. |
